Swing range
Span of the last confirmed swings with an OTE band.
The span between the last confirmed swing high and low. Above the middle is premium, below is discount; the OTE band sits between the near and far retracement fractions.
Swings are walked in confirmation order, not chart order: the span a trader had is the one that was knowable then. Only the OTE band is drawn — the full box would cover the chart.
Names
Neutral: Swing range / Swing-Spanne. ICT: Premium & Discount, short OTE (also Dealing Range, Optimal Trade Entry, Equilibrium).
Settings
OTE near defaults to 0.618, OTE far to 0.786 of the retracement. Swing method defaults to N-bar fractal with lookback 3. Williams fractal and ZigZag are available too; ZigZag uses a reversal of 0.005 of price by default. Lookback only applies to N-bar; ZigZag reversal only applies to ZigZag.
