OBV

A running sum of volume, added when the close rises and subtracted when it falls.

OBV (on-balance volume) adds the bar’s volume when the close rises and subtracts it when the close falls. An unchanged close leaves the sum where it was. It is its own pane. There is no length to set.

A rising OBV means more volume has been arriving on up closes than on down closes. The slope is a common read, not a signal by itself.
