Long-Legged Doji
A doji with long wicks on both sides.
A candle whose body vanishes against its range, with a long wick above and below. Same body rule as Doji; the wicks are what make it long-legged. Knowable on that candle’s close. An event — no end.
Indecision on both sides, so no direction: the marker sits above the candle in the neutral colour, never as a buy or sell reading.
Settings
Maximum body and Minimum wick are fractions of the bar’s range
(defaults 0.05 and 0.3). Minimum wick asks it of each side, so it tops
out at 0.45: two wicks and a body have to share one range, and above 0.5
they cannot both fit. It used to go to 0.7, where the pattern could not
answer at all.
0.05 is the doji threshold for the whole family — it was always the number
here, and it is now also the number under Dragonfly, Gravestone, both Harami
Crosses and both doji stars.
