Morning Star
Three-bar turn — down body, small middle, third close back up.
Three candles: a real down body, a small middle, then a third candle that closes back into the first body (default: past the midpoint). Knowable on the third close. An event — no end.
No gap required. The textbook star gaps away from the first body, and on a perpetual future that never happens — across 300 consecutive bars of our reference series, every open was exactly the previous close. There used to be a Require gap switch here; its second position produced nothing at all, on any of the four stars, so it is gone. Kicker and Upside Gap Two Crows read the same market the same way.
