Swing break
A confirmed swing taken out by a close.
A confirmed swing is passed by a closing price. A wick through it is not enough — that is an attack, not a break.
Knowable only once both were: the swing and the break.
Names
Neutral: Swing break / Swing-Bruch. ICT: Break of Structure, short BOS.
Settings
Hold bars (default 1) requires the break to hold for that many closes. Swing method defaults to N-bar fractal with lookback 3. Williams fractal and ZigZag are available too; ZigZag uses a reversal of 0.005 of price by default. Lookback only applies to N-bar; ZigZag reversal only applies to ZigZag.
