Optimal retracement zone
Configurable retracement band inside a confirmed Swing range.
This concept measures a pullback from the completed leg's endpoint back toward its origin. Its default band spans 61.8–78.6% of a confirmed Swing range.
It is independently selectable and produces its own fact. The required Swing-range fact is computed in the background and is not drawn unless you select that concept too.
Names
Neutral: Optimal retracement zone / Optimale Retracement-Zone. ICT: Optimal Trade Entry, short OTE.
Settings
Near retracement defaults to 0.618; Far retracement defaults to
0.786. Near must remain below Far and both must stay between 0 and 1; an
invalid pair produces no zone. The two values control this concept only. Swing
method, lookback and ZigZag reversal determine its source range. While the Swing
range row itself is selected, that source row controls the shared Swing
settings and the matching controls here are read-only.
The theme uses the direction of the completed leg for the default color. A custom color overrides that drawing only and does not change or rerun the calculation.
“Optimal” is the established concept name, not a promise that an entry is suitable or profitable.
