Patterns

Find candlestick shapes on the chart — observations, not signals.

Patterns are rules that read your candles and mark completed shapes: a doji, a hammer, an engulfing pair. Every find is an observation, not a signal and not a recommendation — what you do with it is up to you.

They run on the candles your chart already holds. Nothing extra is loaded, and nothing is sent to us.

They use the same engine as Concepts: same as-of time, same colours, same per-chart selection. They live in their own Tools tab because they are a different library — standard candlestick names, not ICT or Neutral school wording.

Switching them on

Open Tools at the top right, then the Patterns tab.

The Patterns tab shows how many are switched on for the chart you clicked last. The list applies to one chart. Two chart tabs can show different patterns. Your selection survives reloads.

Each row has a ? that opens this handbook on that pattern’s page.

Search sits in the bar under the Tools tabs, next to text size. Text size scales the pattern mark and its label on this chart. It does not change concept strokes or indicator lines.

Categories

The panel groups patterns by how many candles they read: Single candle, Two candles, Three candles, Four+ candles. The count on a group turns amber when at least one pattern in it is on. Clear, beside that count, turns the group off. Switched-on patterns are listed under Active on chart. Click a row there to open its settings; the triangle sits to the left of the name.

Settings

Pin bars (Hammer, Hanging Man, Inverted Hammer, Shooting Star) share three numbers: how large the wick must be, how small the body may be, and how many bars of prior trend to require. Set Prior trend to 0 to ignore the preceding move — then Hammer and Hanging Man become the same shape.

Doji variants add wick rules on top of the body cap. Kickers and piercing patterns do not require a gap: on perpetual futures every bar opens at the prior close.

Morning Star and Evening Star can optionally require a gap. On perpetual futures that almost never happens, so the default is Off.

What the picture does not say

A drawn find is an observation about past candles. It is not a forecast and not a buy or sell recommendation. Market data comes straight from the exchange; we cannot vouch for its accuracy.

The Patterns tab uses the existing feature concepts.overlay. It does not change the market-data path, orders, payments or user content.
