Flipped gap

Filled gap the price has closed through.

A gap was filled and then broken by a close. The same price band changes sides: support becomes resistance.

Only filled gaps can flip, so the search starts at the filling candle — which may already be the breaking one. Upstream gap rules come from Price gap.

Names

Neutral: Flipped gap / Gedrehte Lücke. ICT: Inversion FVG, short IFVG.

Settings

Hold bars (default 1) asks the flip to hold for that many closes after the break.

Max. bars after the fill (default 200, range 1–500) limits how long a filled band can still flip. Without it four out of five gaps flip eventually, some of them half a day later — by then the close through a long-forgotten band says little. The default is wide on purpose.
