Falling Three Methods

A strong down body, small bars inside its range, then a new low close.

Four or five candles: a strong bearish body, two or three smaller candles that stay inside that first range, then a bearish close below the first close. Opposite of Rising Three Methods. Knowable on the last close. An event — no end.

Settings

First candle minimum body (default 0.4) and Middle candle maximum body (default 0.45).

Rising Three Methods

A strong up body, small bars inside its range, then a new high close.

Mat Hold

A hold beyond the first close, a shallow pullback, then a new close.
