Tweezer Top

Two consecutive highs inside a fraction of the candle range.

Two candles whose highs sit almost on the same price. The tolerance is a fraction of the candle range — the wider of the two candles — not of the price. Opposite of Tweezer Bottom. Knowable on the second close. An event — no end.

Measuring against the price used to make this fire almost everywhere: at a price of 64 700 a tolerance of 0.15 % is about 97 units, wider than a whole candle, so nearly every pair of neighbours counted as "equal". Against the candle's own range the same word means the same thing at any price.

Settings

Maximum extreme deviation (default 0.03) — how far apart the two highs may sit, as a share of the wider candle's range. At 0.03 roughly one bar in twelve carries a tweezer; raise it for a looser reading.
