Bollinger Bands

Bollinger Bands — SMA basis with upper and lower bands from population volatility.

Bollinger Bands wrap price with a middle basis (SMA of closes) and an upper / lower band at a multiple of the population standard deviation of the same window.

Defaults are length 20 and multiplier 2. All three lines share one colour setting (automatic unless you pick one).

Narrow bands mean low recent volatility; wide bands mean the opposite. Price touching a band is a common read, not a signal by itself.

SMA

Simple moving average — average of the last closes on the price scale.

ATR

Average True Range — how far price typically moves per bar.
