Indicators
Oscillator panes and price-scale overlays on the chart.
Indicators on a chart come in two forms: panes stacked under the candles, and overlays drawn on the price scale with the candles.
Add either from the indicator menu in the chart toolbar — one alphabetical list with a search; catalog entries appear when your plan includes them — or from the Indicators tab in the Tools rail. Drag the split to resize panes, collapse to a strip, or remove. Overlays use the legend in the top-left of the candle area.
Feature key: chart.indicators.
Tools tab
Open Tools at the top right, then the Indicators tab. The tab shows how many indicators are on the chart. Search sits in the bar under the Tools tabs, next to line width. It matches the short name and the spelled-out one, so “exponential” finds EMA and “moving” finds MACD. Active on chart folds open and shut; the count turns amber once it is not zero, and Clear sits beside that count. It follows the same target chart as the Watchlist (click a chart on a surface first). The upper list shows what is on that chart — expand a row to edit settings inline, collapse or hide, or remove. Clear takes every pane and overlay on that chart. A collapsed pane keeps an amber glyph so you can see it is minimized. Each row has a ? that opens this handbook on that indicator’s page. Below, the catalog is one list: click an entry to add it; the ? there opens the same page before you add.
Line width under the Indicators tab sets the indicator lines on the chart you clicked. Concept strokes and pattern text size stay on their own tabs. It is not a field on each indicator.
Settings
The gear on a pane bar or overlay legend row opens the settings window. Which fields you see depends on the indicator. Changes apply immediately and are saved with the workspace. Reset restores the defaults.
Overlays
Overlays such as EMA, SMA, WMA, TRIMA, DEMA, TEMA, KAMA, T3, SAR, Midpoint, Midprice and Bollinger Bands share the candle price scale — they are not separate panes. The legend at the top left lists each instance with a colour swatch, eye (hide/show), gear (settings) and remove. Each instance has its own colour; you can run two EMAs (for example length 20 and 50) at once.
RSI
RSI (Relative Strength Index) measures how strongly closes have risen versus fallen over a lookback. The default length is 14; dashed levels sit at 30 and 70. A completely flat market shows 50.
